8th September, 2026: BETBY, the Tier 1 B2B sportsbook supplier known for its innovative product approach, has launched BETBY SlotBets, a new product that slotifies sports betting by turning real-time sporting action into fast-paced, slot-style gameplay.

The launch marks the first product of its kind on the market and introduces SlotBets Games, a completely new iGaming content category designed to bring sportsbook and casino closer together. BETBY calls this new form of gameplay slotbetting.

BETBY SlotBets is built around 15-second betting rounds directly tied to the action unfolding in a live sports event, combining the immediacy of sports betting with familiar casino mechanics such as reels, winning combinations and multipliers.

In SlotBasketball, the first major real-sports application of the product, each 15-second round is divided into three five-second windows, corresponding to three reels. Each reel records the highest-value event that occurs during its window, including outcomes such as a three-pointer, two-pointer, missed shot, foul or even a period in which no action takes place.

Once the 15 seconds are complete, the three reels form a combination, with matching outcomes producing payouts according to the game’s paytable. Multipliers and additional mechanics further enhance the experience, while the underlying sporting event remains responsible for determining the result.

Unlike RNG-based casino products using sports themes, BETBY SlotBets is powered directly by real sporting action, meaning the match itself acts as the engine of the game.

The product has been developed to address one of the industry’s long-standing challenges: encouraging natural movement between sportsbook and casino audiences. Casino-first players can interact with sports through familiar mechanics such as reels, combinations and rapid outcomes, without needing to understand traditional sportsbook markets. Existing sportsbook players, meanwhile, gain a faster and more continuous way to engage with the event directly within the match tracker.

Kirill Nekrasov, Head of Innovation and R&D at BETBY, said: “SlotBets started with a very simple question: why should a casino player need to become a sportsbook expert before they can enjoy betting on sport?
“We wanted to create something immediately understandable, but still genuinely powered by the live event. That is why the sport cannot simply be decoration around a casino mechanic. Every basket, miss, foul, stoppage or quiet interval can influence the game, so the match is continuously building the SlotBet in real time.

“Our ambition goes beyond launching one new product. We believe SlotBets Games can develop its own recognisable mechanics, terminology and player expectations, in the same way that categories such as Crash Games did before. We are introducing a new way to play sports, and we call it slotbetting.”

Basketball was selected as the first real-sports application due to its naturally high tempo and constant flow of meaningful events. SlotBasketball also turns stoppages into part of the experience through a Pause Bonus, allowing eligible stoppage time to contribute towards an additional payout multiplier.

BETBY SlotBets is also being developed for 24/7 esports content, with titles including eSlotSoccer, eSlotCricket, eSlotHockey and eSlotPingPong expected to broaden the offering and help operators maintain engagement during quieter periods in the traditional sports calendar.

For operators, BETBY SlotBets creates a new cross-vertical opportunity designed to increase engagement, betting frequency, retention and migration between sportsbook and casino audiences.

The product can be integrated through a lightweight iFrame and positioned within sportsbook, casino or both. Its familiar slot-style interface also gives BETBY SlotBets potential for retail casino integration, allowing operators to introduce sports-based content through a format casino-first players can understand immediately. BETBY also sees potential for SlotBets to rethink traditional sportsbook real estate by integrating the experience into areas commonly occupied by passive match trackers, turning them into interactive and monetised parts of the live-event journey.
